Mordercza Tajemnica 1 Murder Mystery Game 1
Zimowy wieczór, ciemny i ponury mimo wczesnej pory. Detektyw Columbo przyjrzał się pomieszczeniu, w którym stał – kuchni w mieszkaniu denatki. Przybył tu po tym, jak poinformowano go, że policja dostała wezwanie do mieszkania, z którego usłyszano strzał z broni palnej.
– Po co pan tu przyszedł? Przecież sprawa jest oczywista. Samobójstwo. – powiedział zdziwiony policjant, który przyjął wezwanie.
– Nie… To nie samobójstwo, tylko morderstwo.
– Skąd pan wie?
– Proszę spojrzeć…
Skąd detektyw wiedział, że młoda kobieta została zamordowana? Spójrzcie na obrazek i spróbujcie zgadnąć.
Detektyw wskazał kilka ważnych elementów wskazujących na to, że denatka nie popełniła samobójstwa:
- Plama krwi jest po złej stronie pokoju. Jeśli kobieta strzeliła sobie w głowę trzymając pistolet w prawej ręce, krew powinna zalać ścianę po jej LEWEJ stronie – po tej samej stronie, z której znajdowała się rana wylotowa po kuli.
- Columbo usłyszał, jak policjanci rozmawiali o tym, gdzie musiała STAĆ ofiara, gdy padł strzał. Jego odpowiedź brzmiała: „Ona nie stała, tylko siedziała przy biurku. Widzicie? Po lewej stronie leżą papiery… i popielniczka ze świeżym popiołem z papierosa – tego samego, który tkwi w jej lewej ręce. No właśnie, lewej – tej, którą z założenia powinna była użyć, żeby strzelić sobie w głowę, gdyby wasza teza o samobójstwie była prawdziwa.”
- Skoro zmarła siedziała przy biurku, po jego lewej stronie, to jak znalazła się przy szafce? Ktoś musiał ją tam przeciągnąć. Zapewne po to, żeby ukryć rany na jej głowie – żeby nie można było łatwo określić, że strzał padł z innej strony.
- Pistolet jest zbyt czysty. Gdyby przystawiła go sobie do głowy (tak jak to robią samobójcy), musiałby być uwalany krwią. A skoro nie widać na nim żadnych śladów, to zapewne strzał padł z większej odległości, czyli oddał go ktoś inny.
- Wtyczka lampki na biurku nie jest w gniazdku. Jak ona mogła czytać, jeśli żyrandol daje tak słabe światło, a za oknem jest już ciemno? Morderca musiał przeoczyć ten fakt, gdy przebywał na miejscu zbrodni – tak samo jak przeoczył fakt, że samobójczyni nie mogła trzymać pistoletu w prawej ręce, a papierosa w lewej.
Winter evening, dark and gloomy despite the early hour. Detective Columbo looked at the room where he was standing – the kitchen in the apartment of the deceased. He came here after he was informed that the police received a call to the apartment where a shot from a firearm had been heard.
„Why are you here? After all, the matter is clear. Suicide” said the surprised
policeman who took the call.
„No… It’s not suicide, but murder.”
„How do you know?”
„Pray take a look…”
How did the detective know that the young woman had murdered? Look at the picture and try to guess.
The detective pointed out some important elements indicating that the dead woman did not commit suicide:
- The blood stain is on the wrong side of the room. If a woman shot herself in the head while holding a gun in her right hand, blood should have poured over the wall to the LEFT – on the same side from which there was a bullet exit wound.
- Columbo heard the police talking about where the victim should have been STANDING when the shot was fired. His answer: „She was not standing, but sitting at the desk. You see? There are papers on the left side… and ashtray with fresh ashes from a cigarette – the same one that is in her left hand. That’s right, left one – the one that she is assumed to should have used to shoot herself in the head if your thesis about suicide was true.”
- If the deceased was sitting at her desk, on its left side, then how did she get to next to the cabinet? Someone had to drag her there. Presumably to hide the wounds on her head – that you cannot easily determine that the shot came from the other side.
- The gun is too clean. If she put it against her head (as suicide do), it would have to be stained with blood. And if you cannot see any traces on it, then the shot must have been fired from a greater distance, meaning that it was someone else who fired it.
- The plug of the lamp on the desk is not in the socket. How could she read if the chandelier gives such a dim light and it’s already dark outside the window? The killer must have overlooked this fact when he was at the crime scene – just as he overlooked the fact that suicide could not hold the gun in her right hand and a cigarette in her left.
