Szkoła policyjna
Police Academy

USA, 30 minut po północy czasu lokalnego. Kadet szkoły policyjnej pochyla się nad podręcznikiem, nerwowo zgrzytając zębami. Niedługo egzamin, a on trafił na wyjątkowo trudny rozdział książki. To będzie długa, długa noc…

USA, 30 minutes after midnight local time. Cadet of the Police Academy leans over the textbook, grinding his teeth nervously. The exam is coming soon and he came after extremely difficult chapter of the book. Full of words pronunciation of which even his teacher had some problems with… And how is he to learn them? And yet – if he wants to become a police officer, he has to know these words by heart. He will use them every day if only goes to the right team… If he wants to pass this exam and perform his dream job, he must learn them too. So he bends over a book again, swallows another sip of strong coffee and mutters yet another series of bizarre expressions with their definitions under his breath. It will be a long, long night… Like a dozen or so of the previous ones and the next several ones.

What are those strange, incomprehensible words that our cadet and his ilk, the future police officers in the United States must learn? Why are they needed?

Answer

The words placed in the textbook are the commands for police dogs. They are in the rare, foreign languages, so that only the police officers could give them.
