Do you like going to the circus? I do. Clowns, acrobatic performances, magicians… I’ve always loved this kind of shows. If you have too, then I’ve just found something that you will definitely like.
Capital Circus of Budapest (Hung.: Fővárosi Nagycirkusz) was founded in 1889. From that time, it’s changed the location several times – it’s currently located in the Városliget City Park, next to the Zoo. Thanks to the fact that it’s located in a roofed building, shows can take place at any time of the year, regardless of the weather.
When I came to Budapest a few days ago, I managed to visit the Circus and see one of the periodic shows currently being staged there: „FlyingCircus” (it can be seen daily from April 4, 2019, to September 8, 2019). It’s run by Kristan Kristof, a world-famous juggler with a Guinness record on the account: he managed to throw 3 cigar boxes in the air at the same time and make them make 4 full turns so that they returned to the positions from which they began their flight. In addition to him, in “FlyingCircus” there perform also:
The whole thing lasts for 2 hours, with a 15-minute interlude. An additional attraction was an orchestra playing live and a female singer showing up together with some of the performers. Below you can see fragments of the Sárközi Trio’s performance and one of the two performances of Mongol Circus Production (show with skipping ropes). At the beginning of the post, I added photos from these two performances, as well as the Mongol Circus Production’s show with the balls and Lena’s performance.
