Renovation of Wawel Castle

Wawel… jedna z najbardziej znanych atrakcji Krakowa. Zrobią to i zrobią to. W końcu dano im pozwolenie i zostawiono samych w sali. A jednak…

Wawel… one of the most famous attractions of Kraków. Known for its tapestries and heads on the ceiling of one of the rooms. But hardly anyone knows that when a few decades ago the castle was renovated, an interesting story happened there. Well, in one of the underground rooms which were renovated, the workers came across a huge boulder – it was stuck in the middle of the room, making it difficult to work. The entrance to the room was too narrow to get the not unexpected obstacle out through it. Many people unsuccessfully tried to find a way to get rid of it. In the end, two workers were found who, after a brief discussion, claimed: for a small fee they would remove the boulder from the hall. It was to be enough for them to use a few basic tools that they just on hand. Everyone looked at them with surprise – how did two people want to deal with such a task without the specialized machines? But they insisted. They will do it and they would do it. In the end, they were given permission and left alone in the room. Nobody really believe that they were able to remove a stone from the place where it was lying. And yet… Indeed, the next day it was not there. How did they manage that, since no one else knew how to do it? Hint: there are other simple ways, there was no need to break the door.
