Obsesja na punkcie czerwieni
Obsession with the red color

Następnie otworzyła torebkę w neonowym odcieniu tegoż koloru i wyciągnęła z niej klucz do drzwi wejściowych swojego parterowego domku.

Mogły one istnieć najwyżej przed wejściem do budynku.

With a sigh, Natalia changed the position of her long, dyed in a blood-red color hair, which the wind blew into her face. Then she opened her purse in the neon shade of the same color and pulled out the key to the door of her bungalow. Involuntarily, she smiled, looking at the red pendant in the shape of a heart which was attached to it – a gift from her boyfriend. Then her eyes swept the building: crimson walls, purple tiles, the shutters in the same shade… A miracle! It’s a pity that so few people understand this little obsession with red color of hers.

Having gone into the house, the girl dresses down: she exchanges her cherry dress (she had to dress up today – an official banquet at work!) for the ruby track suits and lies herself on magenta sofa. She takes the book „All Red” by Joanna Chmielewska lying on the table to her hand and starts to read it. For the hundredth time already, but she can’t stop. Not only because of the title and the ubiquitous BLOOD-red appearing as the main theme, but also because of the humor with which this work was written.

After a moment, Kika, a female labrador retriever, slips into the room – perhaps the only thing in this house that is not red. Well, maybe except for the lovely, strawberry red collar on her neck.

„What’s up, Kika? Have you gotten hungry? Well, well, I’ll give you something to eat,” Natalia reluctantly rises from the couch and goes to the kitchen, where he keeps karma and all that is needed for the care of her pet. When she was moving in to this house, the dog hadn’t been living with her yet and she didn’t foresee the need of having an attic where she could store that all. Also here all the appliances sparkle with shades of red: cabinets, countertops, the dishwasher’s door, even the kitchen sink.

Now a tricky question: what color are the stairs leading to the floor of the house of our main character? 😉

Answer

Hm… Probably out of momentum you responded, „Red,” didn’t you? And you thought of the shade at most. Now think about it once again: what are the steps leading to the SECOND FLOOR needed for in a BUNGALOW? They could exist in front of the entrance to the building at most. 😀 It has been clearly stated in the text of the riddle that the house didn’t have an attic to which she would need to climb the stairs.
